Planning a Florida holiday from the UK and want to avoid the worst crowds? This calendar shows predicted crowd levels for every day of 2026 across Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and the major Florida theme parks. It is specifically designed for UK families, with UK school holidays marked so you can see exactly when your travel dates clash with the busiest periods.
How This Calendar Works
This calendar is calibrated from actual daily wait time data collected by Thrill-Data at Magic Kingdom over the past 12 months (March 2025 to February 2026). Rather than guessing at crowd levels, we used real park-wide average wait times to establish the seasonal pattern, then projected it forward onto the 2026 calendar with adjustments for where holidays and events fall this year.
What the Real Data Shows
The Thrill-Data weekly averages revealed that Magic Kingdom's park-wide average wait times ranged from roughly 17 minutes in early September (the quietest week of the year) to 36+ minutes during Christmas week (the busiest). Here is how we mapped those wait times to our 6-level crowd scale:

~20-22 min avg
Moderate

High

Why US School Holidays Matter More Than UK Ones
Over 91% of Florida's 143 million annual visitors are domestic Americans. This means US school holidays, federal holidays and domestic events like cheerleading nationals are by far the biggest drivers of theme park crowd levels. UK visitors make up around 1.1 million per year - significant, but a fraction of the total. The calendar below is built around the US calendar first, with UK school dates overlaid so you can spot clashes.

Already booked your dates? Plan your park days
This calendar helps you pick when to go. Once you have booked, use our daily crowd patterns tool to plan which park to visit on which day. It uses our own wait time data (recorded since September 2025) to show you the quietest day of the week for each park - so you can work out whether Magic Kingdom is better on a Tuesday or a Thursday, or which park is calmest on a Saturday.
