About Florida Planner
Built by a Florida-obsessed family, for Florida-obsessed families
Hi, I'm Gav
I'm not a travel agent. I'm not a big company. I'm just someone who fell in love with Florida as a kid and never quite got over it.
My first trip to Florida was our first family holiday abroad. We went back again and again throughout my childhood, and those trips became some of my most treasured memories.
Fast forward to now, and I'm back to visiting as an adult. Between trips, you'll probably find me doing what a lot of us do - watching Florida vloggers on YouTube, living vicariously through their park days and Walmart visits, and daydreaming about my next trip.
Why I Built This
I spend a lot of time in Florida Facebook groups and I kept seeing the same thing over and over: families paying way more than they needed to for their holidays.
I get it. Booking through a package provider or travel agent is easy. Trying to find the best flights yourself means endless searches across different dates, airports, and durations. Comparing theme park ticket prices means opening a dozen tabs. It's exhausting. And I'm not here to try and tell anyone how they should book their holiday - everyone has their own reasons, budgets and preferences. I just don't like seeing people paying over the odds. It means they can't go back to Florida as quickly as they'd like!
So I built the tools I wished existed. A flight search that lets you search hundreds of flight combinations at once. A ticket price comparison tool that compares ticket prices across all the major vendors in seconds. A package calculator that gives you an instant ballpark figure so you know if that package deal is actually a good price.
The overall idea was to create easy to use tools that allow anyone to be better informed before making a booking. I don't sell holidays. I don't take bookings. Whether you end up booking everything yourself or still go with a package deal, at least you'll have a quick way to find out what things should cost.
I do want to be upfront and say I might make commission after you click one of my links. This commission comes directly from the company your booking through and doesn't affect what price you pay at all. I'm completely independent so I'd never place any ticket vendor or airline above another for extra commission. Why do I need commission? It costs me around £100 per month to keep this site operational, so it's purely to cover that so I can keep this site running.
Everything here is free to use and I intend to keep it that way. I do try to keep everything as up to date as possible, but this is just a hobby so please bear with me.
